My current budget for a second car is $1000, preferably less. Here are the two most interesting options right now.

Kinja'd!!!

A manual 740 turbo in a rare colour, but has clearly been abused, and has a non-working overdrive

Or, a rebuilt Taurus with a wonderful engine, and significantly less kms

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

(The most likely scenario is that I won't buy either, wait until I get a better job, and get something after that when I have a bigger budget)

If the quarters aren’t already rusted all to hell, go for the Taurus. Just be advised that both the MTX IV and auto trans for the bull are shit.

If I had to choose between those, I’d get the Taurus, but you should be able to find a 740 or 240 in better shape on your budget.

I was about to say, if your budget is that low, just save some more.

Earlier today I realized I want a 700 or 200 series project car, so

What about that Buick? But seriously, if we’re going down the hooptie hole, consider the following.

Kinja'd!!!

It says it runs and drives, and it has the hi-po 460. Does it get more badass than this for $1k?

Definitely the smartest choice

Should, but it’s hard to catch a manual one around here before the local Volvo drift idiot buys and ruins it

If the lady with the Buick decides she wants to part with it, I’m definitely going for it

Unfortunately, it’s as hard to get a decent Miata for reasonable money around here as it is to get a decent E30 or 240SX

Sadly, it’s hard to get a decent Miata anywhere for a decent price. Too many stancebros, I guess.
